Manitowoc Cranes exhibited new products at 4th National Congress of Industrial Cranes in Mexico

12/12/2018

  • The company displayed two models of its most popular brands in the country — the Grove all-terrain cranes GMK5150L and GMK4100L-1, a Grove YardBoss YB5520 and a National Crane NBT45 boom-truck — and a virtual crane simulator.
  • The annual event was a great opportunity for Manitowoc Cranes to explain to a specialized audience the benefits of its products on the job site, and to ensure higher and faster return on investment.

Manitowoc Cranes attended the 4th National Congress of Industrial Cranes in Mexico, which took place in the town of Irapuato, Guanajuato. The company displayed four models of its most popular brands in the country and presented new technologies that will help customers in Latin America reduce their cost of ownership and increase efficiency on the job site.

At the show the company displayed two Grove all-terrain cranes — a GMK5150L and a GMK4100L-1 — a Grove YardBoss YB5520 and a National Crane NBT45 boom truck. In addition to seeing the cranes up close, visitors to the congress also had the chance to test their crane operating skills on a Grove virtual simulator.

According to Alberto Camarillo, regional business manager for the National Crane product line in Latin America, the congress is one of the most important forums for construction industry discussions in the region. Manufacturers, dealers and contractors met at this year’s three-day event to learn about new trends in the industry, such as new products and technologies, and the hottest market demands.

“This congress presents a great opportunity to explain to a very specialized and excited crowd the advantages of using Manitowoc cranes on the job site, aiming to ensure higher and faster return on investment,” Camarillo said. “It is also the right place to learn about new projects in Mexico and offer the most suitable equipment to complete them in the most efficient way.”

Manitowoc was represented at this year’s congress by three of its dealers in Mexico: Sitsa (based in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico); Tracsa (based in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco), both exclusive distributors of Grove all-terrain cranes in the country; and Ameco (also based in Tlalnepantla), which is a Grove and National Crane distributor.

Grove and National crane models are top sellers in Mexico. They are suitable for a wide range of job sites in the country, from urban construction to mining and renewable energy.

The annual congress is organized by the Mexican Association of Cranes, Equipment and Industrial Devices (AGEDI). More than 15 companies in the construction industry exhibited and more than 800 visitors attended the event, which took place in late August.
