Grove GMK6300L a versatile tool for Chilean rental company

10/7/2013 Concepcion, Chile

Chilean rental company, VITTAMAQ, has purchased a new Grove GMK6300L all-terrain crane. It will be rented to VITTAMAQ’s diverse customer lineup, which includes companies that work in the lumber, agriculture, shipyard, steel and petrochemical industries. The crane will be working throughout Chile, predominantly in the south of the country.

José Manuel Cortés Uriarte, CEO of VITTAMAQ, said the GMK6300L brings versatility to VITTAMAQ’s rental fleet, which is a necessity considering the wide range of projects the crane will work on. The ability to adeptly handle many types of lift work was the main reason VITTAMAQ’s team chose the GMK6300L.

“The GMK6300L is an incredibly durable and versatile crane that will fit the wide variety of work that our customers do,” he said. “We wanted a crane with a long reach and large lifting capacity that would save our customers time and money. As we have had only excellent experiences with Grove cranes, the choice was easy.”

The 300 t capacity GMK6300L offers one of the strongest lift capacities of any six-axle, all-terrain crane in its class. The seven-section main boom reaches 80 m, one of the longest in the Grove product range. The crane’s MEGATRAK independent suspension and all-wheel steer system allows its wheels to remain on the ground at all times so it can easily navigate job sites, which will vary greatly with VITTAMAQ’s customers.

“We needed a machine to satisfy our growing number of customer demands for access to equipment that will reduce working times and increase project stability,” José Cortés said. “Our new Grove GMK6300L is a unique machine in the market due to its versatility, and it will be an extremely useful tool for our customers.”

VITTAMAQ is located in Concepcion, Chile, and has been in business for five years, growing to 34 employees. The company also owns a Grove RT760E all-terrain crane and a Grove GMK5095 all-terrain crane. Along with its Groves, VITTAMAQ offers a wide range of tower cranes, self-erecting tower cranes, aerial work platforms and special transport equipment.
