Ferreira named director of EnCORE Americas

Manitowoc has named Gilberto Ferreira new director of EnCORE Americas, Manitowoc Crane Care’s remanufacturing program. He will report to Scott Keckler, the newly appointed vice president of Manitowoc Crane Care for the Americas.

Keckler said that Manitowoc Crane Care will benefit from Gilberto’s experience.

“As we take steps to expand our crane and component remanufacturing program, we need experience leadership to direct the developments,” he said. “Gilberto brings a wealth of experience in customer support. His strong leadership skills will be an asset to the growing EnCORE program.”

Ferreira will oversee all EnCORE activities in the Americas, including the EnCORE Partners program and operations in Bauxite, Ark.

Manitowoc Crane Care in the Americas officially launched the EnCORE Partners program for Americas dealers on January 1st. Manitowoc Crane Care will partner with interested dealers that pass rigorous capabilities assessments to provide crane remanufacturing and major repair services. EnCORE partners will receive special commercial, technical and retail financing support from Manitowoc Crane Care and Manitowoc Finance to attract remanufacturing and major repair business.

Ferreira joined Manitowoc in 1997, and has been based in Sao Paulo, Brazil since 2007. He has held a number of positions, most recently as the director of Manitowoc Crane Care in Latin America and managed the development of the growing Latin America Crane Care organization. Prior to that, he was the director of Manitowoc Crane Care in Iberica.
